Alcoholic Beverages Policy:  No alcoholic beverages are allowed to be brought into the Metrodome. Minnesota law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21. Guests purchasing alcoholic beverages will be required to show identification and proof of age. Sale of beer at the concession stands is not allowed after the 3rd quarter for Vikings games. During the game only two alcoholic beverages are allowed to be purchased per person, per sale. Guests may not take alcoholic beverages out of the stadium.
The Metrodome supports designated drivers and encourages fans to visit the ‘Live Responsibly’ booths located at Sections 114 and 200 during Vikings home games to sign up to be a designated driver.



Accessibility:  The Metrodome offers the following services to guests with disabilities.
Accessible Parking – available at the Hennepin County Medical Examiner lot located between 5th and 6th Streets on Park Avenue, across from the Hennepin County Medical Center. Disabled access street parking is also available between 3rd and 4th Streets on Chicago Avenue.

Accessible Seating – wheelchair accessible areas are located in the first row of the upper deck, and the last row of section 127 and first row of section 116 on the lower deck. If wheelchair accessible seating is needed, please make that request when ordering tickets (whether ordering by phone or in person). Ushers are available to assist guests with their needs. See the “Seating Chart” to view designated accessible areas.

Disabled Access Doors – located at Gate G (upper deck), Gate F (lower deck) and Gate D. Ushers are available to assist guests with their needs.

Drop-Off Location – the drop-off site is at the corner of 6th Street and Chicago Avenue, across from Gate F.

Elevators – a public elevator is located at Section 115 of the lower concourse and Section 217 of the upper concourse. A wheelchair lift to access accessible seating in Section 127 is located at Section 125 (near gate F). Access to accessible seating in Section 116 is via the elevator located at Section 115.

Restrooms – restrooms are located throughout the stadium and all are ADA compliant.

Service Animals – service animals are welcome at the Metrodome.

TTY Phone – a TTY phone is located at Gate F. Assistive Listening Devices are available. Contact an usher for assistance.



ATMs:  ATMs are located in the concourse behind sections 127, 115, 137, 216, 227, and 203. There are two (2) ATMs located on the plaza at Gate F near the ticket booth.
 


Baby Changing Stations: All restrooms at the Metrodome have baby changing stations.

 


Backpacks/Bags/Containers:  See “Prohibited and Restricted Items” for information.


Balloons: Balloons are not allowed in the Metrodome.


Banners and Signs: Signs or banners may not obstruct another guest’s view and may not be hung anywhere at the Metrodome. Signs may not be commercial, political or inappropriate in nature and may not be constructed out of wood or metal. Confiscated signs or banners will not be returned.


Beverages/Food: Concession stands are located throughout the stadium on the upper and lower concourses offering a variety of food, soft drinks and non-alcoholic beverages. Concessions Map

 


Bicycle Parking: Outside bicycle parking is available free of charge. The parking attendants at the loading dock entrance at 11th Avenue and 5th Street can direct you.

 


Bus Parking: During Vikings games, a limited amount of space is available on 5th Street South, between 11th Avenue South and Chicago Avenue South. Buses must be pre-screened for security purposes. A security assessment will be charged and may be paid in advance or on game day. For further information, contact the Vikings at 612-33-VIKES (612-338-4537) or log on to vikings.com. Buses may not be allowed to drop off passengers on 11th Avenue South.


Cameras/Video Recorders: During Vikings games, no video cameras are allowed into the stadium per NFL regulations. Still cameras are allowed. Professional lenses or lenses that obstruct another guest’s view may not be used. Video cameras are allowed, if specified by an event, other than a Vikings game.


Cellular Phones/Pagers: cellular phones and pagers are allowed in the Metrodome.


Centerplate: Centerplate, one of the largest hospitality companies in the world and the largest food service provider for the NFL, operates all stadium food and beverage concessions during events. They also cater private events at the Metrodome.

 


Comments or Concerns During Vikings Games: If for some reason any incident or fan conduct is interfering with your enjoyment of the game, please text a description of the issue with the exact seat location to VIKES (space) 69050. This will notify our security department of the issue.


Concessions: Centerplate operates all food and beverage concessions during events at the Metrodome.

 


Coolers: Coolers are not allowed in the Metrodome.


Credit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards are accepted at all permanent and portable concession stands, merchandise stands and the Vikings Ticket Office. Credit cards are not accepted for in-seat vendors.

 


Defibrillators: In case of a medical emergency, notify the nearest usher or security guard. During Vikings games, four (4) first aid personnel with AEDs are located at various points in the stadium. There is also a stationary AED in the MSFA office located near Section 118. Please follow the instructions located with the defibrillator or contact a MSFC representative for assistance.


Directions:
From the East (St. Paul, Eau Claire) Traveling westbound on I-94, take the 5th Street exit into downtown Minneapolis. Proceed down 5th Street to Chicago Avenue, where parking will be available in all directions.
From the North (Duluth) Traveling southbound on I-35W take the Washington Avenue exit. Turn right and proceed into downtown Minneapolis. Parking is available south of Washington Avenue at various sites.
From the West (Willmar, Wayzata) Traveling northbound on Hwy 12 as it becomes I-394, take the 6th Street exit into downtown Minneapolis. Proceed down 6th Street through downtown. Parking ramps are on 6th Street and 5th Avenue and Park Avenue.
From the South (Mason City, Austin) Traveling northbound on I-35W, take the 5th Avenue exit into downtown Minneapolis. Proceed down 5th Avenue to 6th Street. Parking ramps are on 6th Street, at 5th Avenue and Park Avenue.
From the Northwest (Fargo, St. Cloud) Traveling eastbound on I-94, take the 4th Street exit into downtown Minneapolis. Proceed down 4th Street through downtown to 5th Avenue. Parking ramps are located along 5th Avenue at 3rd, 4th and 5th Streets.
From the Southeast (Rochester) Traveling northbound on Hwy 52/55, take I-494 westbound to I-35W. Proceed north on I-35W and exit on 5th Avenue into downtown. Follow 5th Avenue to 6th Street. Parking ramps are on 6th Street, at 5th Avenue and Park Avenue.


Drop Off Areas: The drop-off site is at the corner of 6th Street and Chicago Avenue, across from Gate F.


Elevators:  A public elevator for elderly guests and guests unable to use the outside ramps or stairs is located at Section 115 of the lower concourse and Section 217 of the upper concourse. A wheelchair lift to access accessible seating in Section 127 is located at Section 125 (near gate F). Access to accessible seating in Section 116 is via the elevator located at Section 115.


Emergencies: In case of emergency, please notify the nearest usher or security guard. If you are attending a Vikings game, please leave your seat location and the Minnesota Vikings Ticket Office phone number (612-338-4537) with anyone that may need to contact you during a game. If you are attending other events at the Metrodome, please use the MSFC Office telephone number (612-332-0386) for your emergency number.


Entry: The gate you should enter at is printed on your ticket. There are four (4) gates on each level. Gates B, D, F, and H access the lower level (sections 100-141). Gates A, C, E, and G access the upper level (sections 200-239). Ushers are located at each gate to assist with seat locations. Disabled access gates are located at Gates D, F and G.


Evacuations: Should there be an immediate need to evacuate the Metrodome, fans will be given instructions via the public address system. It is recommended that you familiarize yourself with the nearest exits. Your nearest exit may not be the same doors you used to enter the stadium. An evacuation video will be displayed on the video boards during the Vikings pregame to educate fans.


Family Restrooms: Family restrooms are available in the MSFA office located on the lower concourse near Section 118.



First Aid: In case of an emergency, ask an usher, security guard or concession stand personnel to call first aid. For minor issues, First Aid is located on the lower level of the Metrodome and can be accessed near Section 116 on the lower concourse.

Fundraising for Non-Profit Organizations: Centerplate operates a program where non-profit organizations can volunteer to work at concession stands during events to raise money for their community projects. Please contact the Centerplate office at 612-340-0403 for information.



Gate Opening Times: All ticket holders for Vikings games may enter the stadium two (2) hours prior to kickoff. The gate opening times will vary for all other events. Your ticket indicates the gate most convenient to the location of your seat.

 


Gate Security Screening: Prior to entering stadium gates, all patrons will be subject to security screening including pat downs and inspection of bags or other items carried in. The level of screening may be modified at certain events at the discretion of the NFL. Ticket holders refusing the security screening will be denied admittance to the event. Guests should plan on arriving at the gates no later than half an hour prior to the event start time. See “Prohibited and Restricted Items” for a full explanation of what is and is not allowed to be brought into the Metrodome. During Vikings events, express lanes may be designated at each gate for patrons without any bags or containers. Small purses are permitted through express lanes. Employees follow the same guidelines as guests.


Laptops: Laptops and iPods are not allowed in the Metrodome during Vikings games.

 


Laser Pointers: Laser pointers are not allowed in the Metrodome.

 


Lost & Found: If you lost or found an item during a Vikings game, please notify the nearest usher or Fan Services member immediately. Following the conclusion of the game, contact Whelan Security at 651-400-7040 between 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday-Friday. For Lost & Found information at all other events, contact Whelan Security at 651-400-7040.


Lost Children/Parents: All lost children will be escorted to the nearest event staff member. Lost children will then be escorted to the MSFA Main Office near Section 118. Lost parents should follow the same procedure. We encourage all parents to give a physical game ticket to each member of their party.


LRT/Hiawatha Line: Take the train or bus to Metrodome events. LRT conveniently drops off guests at the Metrodome Plaza. Information on LRT and metro bus routes can be found at metrotransit.org or call 612-373-3333 for more information.

 


MDRA Running: The Minnesota Distance Running Association sponsors Dome Running from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM each Tuesday and Thursday evening, November through March. Go to runmdra.org for information.

 


Metro Transit: Take the train or bus to Metrodome events. LRT conveniently drops off guests at the Metrodome Plaza. Information on LRT and metro bus routes can be found at metrotransit.org or call 612-373-3333 for more information.

 


Noise Making Devices:  Noise making devices are not allowed in the Metrodome.


Novelties/Merchandise:  Novelties and merchandise are available during Vikings games on the upper and lower concourses. Visit the Vikings large merchandise tent outside Gate H during Vikings home games. The tent will be open three (3) hours prior to kickoff and approximately one (1) hour after the conclusion of each regular season Vikings home game.


Nursing Mothers:  Accommodations for nursing mothers are located in the MSFA Office across from Section 118.


Parking Information:  There is no on-site parking at the Metrodome. Ample parking is available near the stadium at privately owned ramps and surface lots. Prices vary depending on location. Disabled access parking is available at the Hennepin County Medical Examiner lot located between 5th and 6th Streets on Park Avenue, across from the Hennepin County Medical Center. Disabled access street parking is also available between 3rd and 4th Streets on Chicago Avenue. Further downtown parking information is available from the City of Minneapolis. Outside bicycle parking is available free of charge at the Metrodome. The parking attendants at the loading dock entrance at 11th Avenue and 5th Street can direct you. Contact the Vikings at vikings.com or 612-33-VIKES for information on bus parking during their games.


Pay Phones:  Pay phones are located in the stairwells near Gates B, D, F, and H.

 


Portable Televisions: Portable televisions are not allowed in the Metrodome.

 


Prohibited & Restricted Items: Neither the MSFA nor the Minnesota Vikings can check or hold any banned items during the game; therefore, any items left at the security checkpoints will be discarded. Items prohibited from the stadium include, but are not limited to:

Express lanes may be designated at each gate for patrons who do not have any bags. Signage will be provided at the gates directing patrons to express and bag check lines.

The following items may be permitted into the stadium at the discretion of security staff:   

    Small, compact umbrellas are permitted (large golf umbrellas are not permitted)
    Fanny packs or purses
    Baby food and/or supplies


Public Transportation: Take the LRT (train) or bus to Metrodome events. The LRT conveniently drops off guests at the Metrodome Plaza, and metro bus stops are located in several locations around the Metrodome. Information on LRT and metro bus routes can be found at metrotransit.org or call 612-373-3333.


Radios: Radios are permitted in the Metrodome, provided they are equipped with earphones.


Road Closures and Routing Alternatives:  Information on road closures and alternative routes into downtown Minneapolis is available from the Minnesota Transportation Department.

 


Restrooms: Restrooms are located throughout the stadium and all are ADA compliant. A family restroom is located in the MSFA office near Section 118.

 


Rollerdome: Inline skating is available at the Metrodome November through March.  Beginner lessons are provided free of charge. Group sessions are also available. Free parking is available on the east side of the stadium at 5th Street and 11th Avenue. The entrance to Rollerdome is through Gate D. Scoreboard Messages: Requests for scoreboard messages to commemorate birthdays, anniversaries, proposals, etc. during Vikings games should be made by calling CJ Rugh at 952-918-8524 or rughc@vikings.nfl.net.


Service Animals: Service animals are welcome at the Metrodome.


Smoking Areas: In accordance with the Minnesota Indoor Clean Air Act, there is no smoking inside the Metrodome. Smoking is allowed outside of the gates in designated areas. Please ask an usher if you need assistance.

 


Solicitation – Literature: It is prohibited to solicit contributions or to distribute literature on stadium property (inside or outside) without the written approval of Minnesota Vikings Football, LLC and the MSFC.


Street Closures: To establish security around the Metrodome, the City of Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Police Department will close 4th and 5th Streets between Park Avenue and 11th Avenue two (2) hours prior to the kickoff of Vikings games.


Strollers: Strollers are allowed into the Metrodome, but must be checked at the MSFA office near Section 118 during Vikings games.


Suites: For information regarding suite rental, including the Samsung Legends Club, the TicketExchange Touchdown Club, the Vikings Lounge, the VIP Tent, and the Gridiron Club, call the private suite hotline at 952-918-8505 or email suites@vikings.nfl.net.


Tailgating: Information regarding tailgating before Vikings games is available at vikings.com.


Ticket Information: Tickets for Minnesota Vikings games may be purchased on the day of the game, if available, and in advance of the game at the Vikings Ticket Office located beneath Gate G on Chicago Avenue. Pregame sales are also available through Ticketmaster (online at ticketmaster.com or call 1-800-745-3000) or in person at any Ticketmaster outlet. Single game tickets are available at vikings.com. Tours: Go behind the scenes of the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome and get an up close personal look of the home of the Minnesota Vikings. Don’t forget your camera as you set foot on the same field as your favorite Vikings players. See where reporters work during games, visit one of the Metrodome’s 90 suites and visit a locker room where the Vikings or Gopher baseball team suits up. You will also catch a great view of the Metrodome’s new roof. The hour tour experience will entertain everyone who enjoys football and baseball.
The tour schedule is subject to change according to event activity at the Metrodome. Tours are not conducted on Vikings game days, when other large events are taking place at the Metrodome or on holidays. Call 612-335-3309 for information and tour updates or to make reservations for a Reserved Group Tour.

Walk-Up Tours — $4 for each guest
Your tour begins at Gate F on the west side of the Metrodome. There is no need to make reservations for the walk-up tours. Public tours take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. One tour each of these days. The public tour begins promptly at 11:00AM. There are no public walk-up tours December through March.

Reserved Group Tours
Groups of 15+ guests are by reservation only. Tours are scheduled between 9:00 AM and 3:00PM Monday through Saturday, all year. The cost for each guest is $3 with a minimum of 15 people.

Tour Tips
The tour is appropriate for all ages.
The Metrodome is a fully accessible facility.

Check the event calendar or contact the tour coordinator by calling 612-335-3309 to verify tour availability on the day you plan to come.
Arrive at Gate F no less than 15 minutes before tour departure.
Wear comfortable shoes. Tours utilize stairs and include a fair amount of walking. Accommodations will be made as necessary.


Umbrellas: Small, compact umbrellas are permitted; large golf umbrellas are not permitted.

 


Wheelchair Accessible Seating: Wheelchair accessible areas are located in the first row of the upper deck, and the last row of section 127 and first row of section 116 on the lower deck. If wheelchair accessible seating is needed, please make that request when ordering tickets (whether ordering by phone or in person). Ushers are available to assist guests with their needs. See the “Seating Chart” to view designated accessible areas.

Wheelchair Assistance:  Wheelchair assistance from gates to seating sections and back is available for those with difficulties walking or standing for long periods of time. Please enter through Gate D if special assistance is needed to get to your seat. Guests may request wheelchair assistance from any stadium staff member. However, wheelchair personnel are not permitted to operate in parking lots or exterior areas of walkways of the stadium.

 


Will Call Windows:  Will call tickets for Vikings games can be picked up beginning two (2) hours prior to kickoff. Will call windows are located at the Vikings Ticket Office beneath Gate G, and Ticketmaster Will Call is located at the Gate B ticket booth. Photo identification is required to pick up tickets.
